Happy Thanksgiving!

We have a LOT to be thankful for this year! It was one year ago this month that I had that awkward feeling while out to dinner that proved to be exactly what I suspected the next morning! Last Thanksgiving, we were toasting the tiny apple seed growing in my belly. This year, we were able to toast that precious little girl in person as she swung next to us at the dinner table Thursday night. We are so blessed....we have a beautiful daughter.... who loves her Daddy.... ....and her Mommy!A handsome new nephew....and a gorgeous niece Anna is a lucky little girl to actually have THREE grandmas who love her...as I was lucky to have 3 grandmas who loved me (Grand A, Grandma Davis, and Mary Ruth), Anna has her Gam, Grandma Jane and Mom-Mom Weaver: The Davises: Grumpy: Sylvia: We can't wait to get both sides of the family on here at Christmastime...that will be a LONG blog entry for sure! Happy Turkey Day to all!

Food, Glorious Food!

Here's a video of AK at feeding time. Notice how she's WEARING more than she's ingesting. However, that seems to have gotten better and clean-up has been a bit easier since we've thickened the oatmeal a little more and are now adding veggies to it. First up: Carrots. She seemed to like them, and I certainly had fun playing with my new food processor! It's a little dark, but why fuss over resolution when there's a face this cute???

Feed Me....

I still contend that Audrey was an appropriate option for Anna's name. If you've ever seen the movie "Little Shop of Horrors", you know what I'm talking about. If you don't, click on the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGRN39oifsE Anna now weighs 14 pounds, 4 ounces and falls into the 65th percentile for weight. Just look at her gorgeous cheeks! Anna has begun to figure out how to hold/support her own bottle. This week, Dr. Joy told us we could start giving her solid foods. We started out with oatmeal since her little tummy needs a little extra fiber. Looks yummy, huh? Anna certainly thought so! She was a little confused at first, and totally frustrated at the end since her little belly didn't get that gratification of being full within 10-15 minutes, but it's gradually getting better and she's getting the hang of it....as are we! Messy face! Bib courtesy of Aunties Mellanie and Alexandra! Daddy's turn....look at her face! "What is this?!" Since she kept trying to stick her fingers in her mouth, and we kept having to wipe her mouth off, we gave her the paper towel to hold, and voila! She wipes her own mouth.

We interupt this marriage....

...to bring you parenthood. These days, we're happy to take any and every opportunity to pose for a snapshot with our beautiful girl. She's learned to love the Bjorn, and is an excellent dinner helper. She still loves to snuggle, which is just fine by us. Just look at how that little girl looks at her Daddy! Could there be any more adoration in her little face?

Anna has been very busy being cute this month. A personal favorite of mine. That face makes my heart melt.

Other Shots...

Here are some other shots from last night. We only had TWO groups of kids visit our door, likely because of our faulty doorbell. Though, it did FINALLY catch up at 9:00 this morning. That's only 13 hours late....you'd think those kids would learn some patience!!
