Happy Halloween!

Victory is mine!!!! For those of you unfamiliar....he's the baby with the British accent from Family Guy. And, come on...Eric's chance to hack up a Colts football? Priceless.......

Our Smart Cookie!

Anna has figured out that if she kicks the birdhouse on her playmat, music will play! She has a very discernible ear and knows what she likes! Notice how she'll change the selection if it's something she doesn't approve of! Also note her growing hatred for that dern princess! You can just see the plotting going on in that little head....

CANDY!!!!

Our little pumpkin has been keeping a close watch over the candy bowl today. We're ready for trick-or-treaters, but I'm not sure we'll see any! It's no big deal, though. We have plenty of Nerds, Smarties, and Dum-Dums for Mrs. Longo to take to her class and share on Monday, reminding each child "You are what you eat!" Still fascinated more by shiny objects that confectionary goodies.... She's such a little ham for the camera!OOH! What's this?? No, seriously, what IS this?? Mmmmm.....fist! Yummy! And now she waits with baited breath for Mommy and Daddy to complete her costume....Here's a sneak peak at what we're working on....there's housepaint and Rit dye involved as well. Stay tuned!!

Milestones

Now that I have your attention, we have a few things we need to discuss (is she not SO ERIC in this picture?!?!?!). There has been a lot going on in Miss AK's life over the past few weeks, and we need to address each one separately. First things first....Anna is teething. Not the "well, we think she might be teething", she IS TEETHING! She has two distinct little buds peeping through (incisors....the vampire teeth, which is appropriate given the time of year). She constantly has her fists in her mouth, and she's still trying to figure out how to get both of them in there comfortably. Not to mention the endless supply of drool and daily doses of Tylenol that keep her sustained. Next, and this one's HUGE, folks! Anna rolled over for the first time yesterday! We have been giving her lots of tummy time to buff up those muscles, and it's finally paid off! She's been "thinking about" doing it for a while now, but yesterday, she finally made-good on her efforts! We got it on video, but it's SUPER dark (I'm having a severe love/hate relationship with our camera currently....). You get the gist of it from this. (You might want to adjust the brightness on your screen and see if that helps????) Hopefully, we'll be able to capture something in better light in the next few days, but she didn't seem too interested in a sequel this morning!

OOPS! ONE MORE!!!

Sorry, I forgot about the E&K update! We had an awesome weekend last weekend -- Saturday, we went to dinner at one of our Fave Fan restaurants, 3 Monkeys. Then, it was on to the Landmark Theatre to see Jerry Seinfeld live! Eric had never seen his fave comedian in concert, so I took advantage of the fact he was in town just 3 days post-birthday! Sunday, we got up extra early, got Anna into her Raven's onesie and shuffled her off to Mom and Dad's. Then, Eric and I headed up to Baltimore to witness ANOTHER Raven victory!

SO MUCH NEW STUFF TO SHARE!!!!

As Eric said yesterday, "You'd better post some new stuff or the natives will get restless!". So, I'm an updating mad-woman this morning with a record 3 new posts!! Anna has been SO much fun this week. Her little personality is beginning to develop. She's a happy baby who only has about one or two meltdowns a day -- and, at that, they don't last terribly long (let's find some wood to knock on while I say that!!). She is *officially* teething, as we can see AND feel her right incisor (the K9 tooth) right on the surface. She's working on her vowels, and has a beautiful "uh" and "ah" vowel currently. She also does a descending 5th quite well just like a good singer should! I'm not even exaggerating when I say that, she really does imitate me when I demonstrate! Here are some shots of her happy Saturday afternoon: I'm sorry, did you say something? OOOOH! Shiny object!! And the fave of the day!!

What TO Wear

Proof-pics that our little fashionista does NOT belong on "What Not To Wear". She's very "up" on the latest trends! Here she is in her new ARRRRRRR-gyle dress -- an ode to our resident comedian, Natalie Badour! I think she was getting ready to punch someone....like me. She actually did sock me in the nose that night while I was burping her halfway through feeding! "Feed me, woman!" In da hood. Not sure if she's waving off the paparazzi here or giving a gang sign.... Is it just me, or does she look like she's up to something in this shot??? Oh, to know the inner-workings of a child's mind....

Daddy's Caddy

Friday morning, I received an email entitled "Gone Golfing". It was a gorgeous day, so I didn't think anything of it -- Eric deserves to have some fun now that projects are slowing down at work! And, frankly, a clear, 70-degree day seems the perfect excuse to take an extended lunch. The body of the email read: "Taking my caddy and heading to the Links" {a golf course less than a mile from our house}. These pictures were attached: In reality, he'd dressed her up in that little outfit and realized his green polo matched, had changed real quick, set the camera on timer, snapped those shots, changed his clothes back to a tee shirt, and took her over to Mom and Dad's as scheduled, came back home and hopped on his conference calls for the day! But, he really had me going for a while there!!
