Anna has many faces, and we love all of them! Here is that sweet face we all love: Playing on her gym mat: Getting ready to punch one of the hanging animals: Her version of the "Thriller" dance: And my personal favorite...."What'chu talkin' about, Willis?":

Lately, Anna's been more awake and alert during the day. We had wished for that for some time now, as it meant more of a chance of her sleeping through the night, but it has proven to be more of a curse than a blessing since she spends most of those awake hours screaming! Most parents would find this frustrating. We find it hysterical! First she turns purple to warn us of the impending scream fest..... So, we try changing her to see if that helps.... Obviously not.... This should have been my tip-off that we were in for a rough afternoon when she did this to me after lunch. Maybe she didn't like that flavor of yogurt?

Anna does not like bath time one iota. Our first experience was tale-worthy to say the least! It began with our routine temperature check just a day after our second hospital stay. Eric volunteered to be the bad guy, and stuck the thermometer in its rightful spot, but when it beeped he had a dire look on his face. "94.7", he announced. I believed him, but wanted to see for myself. Upon inspection, I informed him we might get a higher reading if he too the cap off the tip. :-) The subsequent reading was normal. After a good laugh, I got Anna ready for her bath while Eric retrieved the tub. AK's outfit that day snapped up the back, so I propped her up against my leg to get it off. When I picked her back up, there was a neat little puddle of pazoodle on the carpet and on my skirt. Again, laughter ensued. She screams holy terror throughout the bath process, but as you can see, the before and after shots are relatively calm.

Per my in-laws' suggestions, I decided to set up a blog of our own so that everyone can stay updated on Miss Anna....and Eric & I on occasion. :-) It's been a week since Anna Katherine made her grand debut, and what a week it's been! Here are a few shots of our first few days with our sweet girl. Anna's last day in utero...... Fresh out & cleaned....leaving the OR. Daddy was pushing the stretcher. Our first family photo. Snuggling with Momma. Telling Daddy exactly how she feels about being pulled from her cozy home in Momma's belly.
